My lovely cat called Boris brought me a lovely present tonight a lovely slimey green frog! Sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor with Boris happily sitting beside it . Poor thing I scooped him up and toddled off to the pond to put him back in. Most cats bring mice in but not mine. S x x x x

Quite big, do you have to keep them warm in some kind of aquarium? I always fancied keeping snakes but didnt like the idea of feeding them live food

Yeah they are in a 30gallon fish tank. They need temps of around 68F. Oh no live food for me, no way no how! Frog pellets and frozen brine shrimp x

It is! Live food is the only thing stopping me getting a tree frog. That and the fact I wouldn't be able to look after it at the mo. but oh how I want one!

Wow they sound lovely, I love having frogs in our pond, during the mating season, we have loads. They make such a row calling the females to the pond. My youngest son has 2 bearded dragons, a chameleon, 3 ghekkos and a tarantula. He breeds cockroaches and locusts to feed them - yuk . We have more normal pets lol. 2 dogs, black cocker spaniel called Jess, liver and white springer spaniel called Amber, 2 cats Basil and Boris, cockatiel called Eddy, tropical fish, 4 ferrets called itsy and bitsy, snowy and bear, 4 chickens called Gherty, Poppy, Specs and Harriet. OMG.... this took me back to childhood....I loved slimy frogs and caterpillars..... yuck, I couldn't touch them now...weird. Bearded dragon and most reptiles give me the willies!!
When the river Thames (2 mins opposite me) was under development about 10 yrs ago, the rats that had lived undisturbed in derelict warehouses for years, all came our way. They were what is now classed as "super rats"; massive and very aggressive. Missy would catch them all day long. The council wouldn't do much to help, so I saved up a box full of dead rats in the bin house and called out the housing manager. He nearly passed out on the spot.
One day, Missy brought home this enormous rat....alive! Of course, as soon as I jump up, she lets the things go and stands back proudly preening herself as I frantically would chase this around the flat. I upturned everything to get at it. Eventually missy cornered the rat in the hallway. It was up on its two back legs squealing like a pig....unbelievable. Anyway, this day, this one launched at her and clamped its jaws around her back leg. I won't go into too much detail, but it is the first thing I ever killed in my life.
By the way, it took a petition to the Director of Wandsworth council, before they would do anything. Of course, they couldn't kill these rats with poison, they were immune. How did they rid them? By gassing them in their holes, which are similar to a rabbit warren's!!! I would never grow veg around here!!!
I love rabbits and would like to have one.
