She had a badly infected leg within 24hrs. Afterwards, it made her obsessively sneak around corners in fear of a rat jumping out...lol..she still does it.
Another time she brought home a tiny mouse and let it go. Neither she, Oscar, or Jack, would catch it. They were more taken aback by me dashing around, overturning furniture, while this little thing bounced around from living to bedroom. I couldn't find it and because the animals lost interest, I assumed it had escaped. About 8 weeks later, I was lying in bed one morning when suddenly I hear the rustling coming from a cardboard box full of books, just a foot from the bed...lol... I've never got up so fast for years. Needless to say, as much as I hate killing, a mouse trap did the trick. Only then did Missy take an interest in its scent.
Oh! How I love my pets!!

They really can get agressive if cornered, the horrible creatures carry a lot of diseases

My dog killed one once near the river. She scared me because she never made a sound the whole time she ragged it. Then I cried because she dropped it, and it ever so slowly made its way to the side of the path, then lay there slowly dying. I kid you not it had me in tears. Other half wouldn't let me take it to the vet. How ridiculous to want to take vermin to the vet!

It was the silent way she attacked as well, it worried me because I have kids and there was no warning at all. I'm careful with her now x

With prey like that the only way is silent but I think you're wise to keep an eye on her as even the most placid and lovely dog can turn for no reason.

Yeah, I know, and being a staffie she is a strong dog, if she snapped I wouldn't be strong enough to stop her. She is an angel but I do know that every dog has a snapping point, regardless of breed x

They certainly do, and its only fair on the dog not to put it in a position where it might snap

I can't stand them either, horrible creatures, but I did cry for that one lol. Never had a guinea pig, maybe that can be next on the list!
