Zaf, Shaz and I were just wondering if we should make the section "Other Mental Health Conditions" private to members only. Personally, I would feel more comfortable talking about my Bipolar and Personality Disorder if the area was private.
On another forum, I was a bit damaged by a fellow member saying "all people with Personality Disorder are dangerous". Of course, that claim is wrong, but it makes me hesitant to talk about. I feel that mental health conditions have so much more stigma attached to them, it might feel more secure to have this area private.
On this Forum, we do not want to be the leaders and feel that all members have a say on how it is run. There are a couple of other things about titles of Members, ie "new member & karma members"...but, I'll let zaf explain that one

I agree with you Cat, I'd feel more comfortable if those boards were private.

OK, hope this makes sense.... When a member reaches a certain amount of posts they get extra stars by their name and each stage has a name, I think they are something like new member, junior member, full member and God. We can rename these, any ideas? Perhaps something fun erm like beginner, chatterbox, your wish is our command  Z xx |

I just had a look at the settings for member categories. As it stand, they are as follows New member 0 posts Junior member 50 Full member 100 Senior member 250 "God"!(?) 500 So , we would like to rename each category. Or maybe people think we shouldn't have any names........suggestions welcome. Plus, of course, as the first post explains, we wonder if certain sections of the Forum should be private  |

Im getting confused too BC! Getting more sections private shouldnt be diffcult. Adult means you are in the group that can only be seen by others in that group, ie not ordinary members or people under 16 (or whatever age we think necessary if we get to that point). When Ive sorted all the private categories I'll post a list of who can se what  |
