Nice sunshine but still a chilly wind. I need to start planting but I don't have much this year and can't really be bothered either

Oh I know what you mean Zaf, Craig has been busy in our garden getting on top of the weeds, why do they grow in this cold weather?? . Our hanging baskets are planted up with sephina's and labelia, have also potted up some Begonias, sweet peas, impatience and gazanias. Veggies we have planted are sweet corn, runner beans, carrots, beetroot and broadbeans. S x x x x

This year my main task is getting rid of the blasted bindweed, I only have a little planted because of that. The big project this year is clearing a space where the polytunnel was and putting the caravan there to serve as a meditation room/art and craft space and extra storage. Its lovely to see the sunshine at last though

we only have a small garden so we would have to lift your caravan in with a crane zaf and get in by going through the patio doors and in the window of the caravan having said that I have a little raised bed and have potatoes runner beans and carrots growing and we have a rose bush we were given when we got married and some almost black/purple tulips that is all I can manage and my wife has black fingers (she has actually managed to kill some cactus plants) so she's not allowed to touch anything and on a nice day we love to sit outside and just listen to the quiet as we came from our first house in Southampton where we had to keep doors and windows shut all year round thanks to the local teen population (sorry getting off topic) loved yesterday as it was glorious today a little damp but the beds need it if anyone knows any potted plants I could grow with low/no maintenance I would love to hear suggestions

If you are looking for ouside plants for pots, Geraniums are easy and dont need much water, they can be taken indoors during the winter and kept as houseplants and taken outside again for the summer. Also sweet peas are good, just plant up in a pot and put canes in the pot for them to trail up, you get a lovely show and they smell gorgeous. As for inside plants Peace Lilys are easy to look after and provide lovely greenery.
We have rain today so plants getting a good watering.

Coleus are really nice plants too, they can live outside in the summer but need to come indoors wintertime too

Why are those of us on the east coast shivering and the rest of the country basking in warmth?

Yer, night times are also sunny in London. Not much in the daytime, although we did get an hour. My balcony is north facing, so there's little point in planting anything this year
