Not the best of days, alternating between feeling frustrated and angry then tearful, being in pain and unable to do things brings out the worst in me somehow. Im concerned how often I'm having severe back pain, I dont see the point of going to my GP as I know all he will say is to take anti inflamatories which in turn will set off my digestive problems. Osteopathy and acupuncture seem to sort the problems out for a short whil but I'm wondering if there is some sort of underlying problem but have no idea how to find out.

I recommend seeing the GP and asking to see a specialist about your back Zaf. I agree that something seems to have changed and you need to find out what it might be. Im not surprised you feel the way you do. If you are in pain a lot of the time its going to get you down.
I hope today is a little better for you. xx

I think Im gradually coming to that conclusion too Glen, this has happened at least four times in the last 12 months, probably nearer half a dozen times. The pain has eased a little today but feeling very grumpy and frustrated.
Hope you are getting a good rest this weekend

Im ok thanks. Im doing a bit around the house like the washing up - that keeps my mind busy when I need it to be, but I do have a rest planned for this afternoon when Rachel and Qwen are out for afternoon tea.

I hope you got that rest Glen Looking back over the last 11 months I think Ive had my back 'go' for no real reason 5-6 times, definitely time to see my GP even though I dont expect any real help from the NHS

Zaf you need to badger your Dr until he listens, I got sent for physio before they would send me to a back surgeon! Total waste of time but typical of the NHS. I was dreading my surgery as you know, but its been fantastic, no pain and being able to do 'normal' everyday things without pain.

Agreed. Push them if you can Zaf. If it helps then say you have spoken to a rehab nurse (I work with physios) and I recommend seeing a specialist from what you have described.

Not a great day, very achy and tired this evening so shelved taking the horses out. Despite keeping put of the office as much as I can I am still getting annoyances which I find more difficult to cope with when tired. This evening I would just like to give up
