I thought today would be a struggle but in the end it wasnt as events turned out differently to how I had envisaged, it just shows that taking every day as it comes is definitely a good thing even though its incredibly difficult! I got the results of my scan today in the post - there is nothing seriously wrong with my bowels so the NHS isnt proposing any further action. No mention of passing blood for 6 hours, being in hospital over Easter and constant pain!. I feel sort of resigned to suffering from this for years to come with no real diagnosis not a nice thought I saw a really interesting article on depression this morning and Cat has found it on the iplayer thingy sowill post later, its well worth taking a look imo Z xxx

Perhaps going to the GP to discuss the results might be a good way forward. They may not be able to pick up diverticulitis on a scan, but it's something the GP might pick up on. My Mum and Aunt are regularly hospitalised with this condition and it usually involves passing blood. I hope you get something sorted because it is always frustrating to feel we are not being taken seriously
I'm pleased today is going better than you envisaged
The depression clips you recommend are excellent. They are currently posted in the General section

I'm glad to hear there is nothing seriously wrong found with your tummy. But it would have been nice if you could have had some kind of answers as to why your tummy is causing you so much pain I really do hope you find what's been causing all the pain.

It's not good enough for them to say that they haven't spotted anything wrong - bye bye. If you are still suffering these symptoms, your GP should take further action. There - Michael has spoken! Hugs and best wishes.

Thanks all, its really frstrating to be told they arent going to investigate further but on the other hand there appears to be nothing drastically wrong. I simply plan to make a big fuss every time I get a flare up and hope something will eventually get done .........

So good to hear there is nothing seriously wrong. But not good enough that they will do no more, you obviously are suffering. Big .

Its disappointing that the NHS (No Hope Service) isnt prepared to do more to help, I may well try some alternative medicine and a food diary too but I dont feel its good enough being dumped by the NHS because there is nothing obvious causing the problem

It certainly isn't good enough. We should not have to seek alternative help. Your symptoms are bad, are they blind . its causing you so many problems, so should be treated. Big for you.

The NHS may be very good at times but at others it simply doesnt seem to want to spend th money to help

The cost cutting costs more in the long run - if only they would see this . S x x x x

I am sure it is, the out of hours Dr service is not good, so people head to A & E. You can't blame people. The new 111 service is appalling . S x x x x
